MANCHESTER UNITED 1992/1994 THIRD SHIRT #7 CANTONA
MANCHESTER UNITED 1992/1994 THIRD SHIRT #7 CANTONA
Description: Rare authentic (not newly made) green and gold lace-neck shirt based on the version worn 100 years earlier when Manchester United were known as Newton Heath. In 1878, Newton Heath LYR Football Club was formed by the the Carriage and Wagon department of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway depot at Newton Heath. Once the team became independent from the Lancashire and Yorkshire railway and lost ties from it's origins in Newton Heath, the team was renamed Manchester United and changed colours to red and white. The 1992 third shirt by Umbro nods to origins of United and was worn during the League Cup final against Villa.
